Innovation Programmes

The programme you run deserves to be known.

LinkedIn coaching designed for programme teams — helping delivery managers, coordinators, and enterprise professionals build a presence that generates pipeline and positions them as the go-to in their ecosystem.

The programme team's LinkedIn gap

Most programme teams invest their LinkedIn coaching budget in the researchers and founders they support. Fewer invest in their own team's presence — even though programme managers have their own pipeline challenge: finding the right applicants and building the referral relationships that keep the programme full.

Coaching Others, Not Yourselves

The coaching budget goes to participants. The team's own LinkedIn presence — the one that generates programme pipeline — is left to manage itself.

Invisible in the Ecosystem

A programme team without a purposeful LinkedIn presence relies entirely on word of mouth and existing relationships. Potential applicants, referrers, and funders can't find you.

Presence Driven by Chance

Without a strategy, LinkedIn activity is sporadic and reactive — which makes the programme look smaller and less authoritative than it actually is.

What the coaching covers

The coaching is designed around the programme team's specific audience and objectives — which are different from the researchers they support. Programme teams need to be visible to:

  • Researchers and PhD students who could be strong programme applicants
  • Academic supervisors and departmental contacts who refer candidates
  • Peer programme teams at other institutions and delivery partners
  • Funders and ecosystem organisations (Innovate UK, Research Councils, catapults)
  • Industry partners and potential co-investors

The coaching builds a LinkedIn presence that works for all of these audiences — with a clear value proposition for each, and a content strategy that maintains visibility without requiring a full-time social media effort.

Programme cohort model

The coaching can be run with an individual programme manager or with a small team of 2–4 people. The team model has the additional benefit of building a coordinated presence across the team — each person has their individual voice, but the content collectively tells a coherent story about the programme.

  • Individual coaching: 2–4 × 60-minute 1:1 sessions for a single team member
  • Team model: 1 × group strategy workshop (2 hours) + 2 × 1:1 sessions per team member
  • Team size: 2–12 people for the team model
  • Delivery: Video (Zoom or Teams)
  • Output: Team LinkedIn strategy, individual profile rewrites, content themes and 90-day posting plan
  • Coach: Linda Cheung

The ecosystem effect

Innovation programmes operate in a relatively small, well-connected ecosystem. A programme team that posts purposefully and consistently becomes a known, trusted voice within that ecosystem — and that trust translates directly into referrals, partnerships, and commissioning conversations.

CubeSocial has worked with teams across ICURe, Oxford Innovation, and university enterprise programmes. The network effect of consistent LinkedIn presence within the Innovate UK and Research Council ecosystem is faster and more powerful than in most B2B markets.

We'd always thought of LinkedIn coaching as something we did for our cohort participants, not for ourselves. But one month after taking this training, LinkedIn is now our number one source of leads for our programmes.
